🎨Are you a keen artist? Share your impression of the kaleidoscope of colour found on our heathlands! This #HeathWeek , ARC are bringing our art competition back… 🖌️ 

ARC’s Heathland Art Competition is back! This year, we’re looking for artists with a passion for nature and all things wild to create a piece inspired by our native amphibians, reptiles and where they live.  (See last year's submissions)

Our theme for 2024 is COLOURS OF THE HEATH. We’d love to see how you view heathland habitats, through an abstract lens. It’s time to collage, print, triangulate, pour, cut and stick your inspiration into reality! 

All you need to do is create a piece about the heathland – it can be of the heather itself or some of the other incredible and rare species which inhabit the landscape: sand lizards, smooth snakes, tiger beetles, Dartford warblers and plenty of others to choose from.

To be eligible: 

🖊️Must submit art before the deadline at 6pm on Monday 26th August 

✏️Can be digital, traditional, sculpture, collage, stained glass  – anything qualifies! 

🖍️ Please no AI submissions 

To submit: 

Send your artwork to [email protected] by the deadline along with your name, social media link/s if you are 16+ (so we can tag you!) and a description of what your artwork represents and, importantly, why you feel this precious wilderness needs protecting. 

By sending us your artwork, you're agreeing to allow ARC to repost it in our external communications. Winners will be contacted via email after the closing date. 

PRIZES: 

Winners will receive prizes, a year of ARC membership and their art will be published on our website and in our exclusive member’s magazine, ARC eye! 👁️🐸 

First place prize includes a year of ARC membership, and a voucher for the ARC Teemill shop, allowing the winner to take their pick from our full range of clothing! 

Second place prize is a year’s membership to ARC! Receive our ARC Members Welcome Pack, ARC Eye magazine, access to the ARC Members area on our website, special offers, and invites to ARC events.
