During #HeathWeek, 28th July to 3rd August, ARC are bringing our nature inspired art competition back for 2025. Are you bursting with design ideas? Do you love the vibrant beauty of our local heathlands? Then get ready to combine your passion for art with your love for nature in the ARC Heathland Art Competition 2025! Our theme for this year is HEATHLAND THREADS and is a t-shirt design competition. We're inviting artists, designers, and nature enthusiasts of all ages to create a unique t-shirt design inspired by the stunning landscapes, incredible wildlife, and unique plants found on the heath. Think purple heather, golden gorse, darting lizards, buzzing bees, or the sweeping open skies! Why Join Heathland Threads? This is your chance to: Showcase your talent to the community. Celebrate the beauty of our precious heathland and it’s wildlife. Your artwork could help raise funds for the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the UK. See your artwork potentially worn by others! And, of course, win some great prizes! So don't miss this opportunity to blend art with advocacy and help us celebrate heathland in style. Start sketching those ideas now! How to Enter It's simple! Design a t-shirt that captures the spirit of the heathland. Your design can be abstract, illustrative, graphic, or anything in between – as long as it's inspired by this incredible habitat. To be eligible: Must submit art before the deadline - midnight on 31st August 2025 Make sure your design is ready for printing on a t-shirt (a high resolution PNG) Make sure the design reflects the competition's theme. Artwork must be your own. Please no AI submissions To submit: Send your artwork to [email protected] by the deadline along with your name, social media link/s if you are 16+ (so we can tag you!) and a description of what your artwork represents and, importantly, why you feel this precious habitat needs protecting. By sending us your artwork, you're agreeing to allow ARC to repost it in our external communications and for ARC to use your artwork to create t-shirts available for sale on the ARC Teemill shop. Artists will be credited on all designs. Proceeds from these sales will go towards the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the UK. Winners will be contacted via email after the closing date.
